This is a practical and engaging course designed to equip health professionals, educators, and community workers with the skills, tools and confidence to deliver effective group-based health sessions. Whether you’re leading a one-off webinar, a school workshop, or a full community lifestyle program, this course acts as your guide to delivering high-quality, inclusive and impactful group education.
This course provides foundational knowledge for the education component of group-based health programs, and introduces you to Better Health Company’s structured facilitator resources, including ready-to-use session guides and lesson plans. These materials are informed by current evidence and include recommendations based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines and the Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines.
The session content is suitable for all age groups, and facilitators are supported to tailor delivery to meet the needs of priority populations, including families, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, and others.
Facilitator guides and session plans can be used to deliver a complete multi-session program, or adapted for individual lessons, standalone workshops, or community education sessions.
